Harsco Co., Camp Hill, Pa., has announced that three of its subsidiary companies have been consolidated under the Harsco Minerals name. The three companies are the following:
· Reed Minerals, a producer of blasting abrasives and a large manufacturer of roofing granules;
· Excell Minerals, a global provider of agricultural, turf, and cement products, as well as metallics recovered from man-made minerals; and
· Performix, a producer of specialty metallurgical additives used primarily by steelmakers in the refining of molten steel.
“Bearing the well-respected Harsco name not only highlights our long-standing relationship with our parent company, but also helps our customers, suppliers and other audiences to better understand and benefit from the scope and depth of our combined resources,” says Gene Iannazzo, president of Harsco Minerals.
“Our new Harsco Minerals operating structure and brand reflects technology innovation, value creation, and knowledge based solutions, and we are excited to advance together as industry leaders,” he adds.
Harsco acquired Reed Minerals in 1983, and acquired Excell and Performix in 2007.
