Plastics Recycling Show Europe announces conference program

The event will examine the latest political, legislative, market and technological developments in plastics recycling.

Organizers of the Plastics Recycling Show (PRS) Europe, held June 19-20 in Amsterdam, have announced the conference’s full program.

Newly confirmed speakers include:

  • Kris Renwick, corporate sustainability pack strategy manager at Reckitt, Slough, England;
  • Balthazar Verlet-Banide, end to end circularity project management officer at Decathlon, Villeneuve-d'Ascq, France;
  • Mark Roberts, circular value chain director at Berry Global, Evansville, Indiana;
  • Freek Bakker, director of value chain plastics at PreZero, Arnhem, Netherlands;
  • Bart Dautzenberg, senior project manager for corporate sustainability (circular economy) at Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia;
  • Yvonne van Veen, head of advocacy at Ineos Styrolution, Frankfurt, Germany; and
  • Dominik Spancken, business team leader for resource-efficient composites at Fraunhofer Institute for Structural Durability and System Reliability, Darmstadt, Germany.

Conference organizers say guests will get the chance to examine the latest political, legislative, market and technological developments in plastics recycling.

Sessions will discuss the recently passed Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), measures to achieve recycled content targets and advancements in chemical recycling. Similarly, panel discussions will focus on strategies for enhancing collection and sorting, design for recycling and updates on the advancement of plastics circularity globally. Plastic streams focus sessions will highlight challenges and opportunities in the recycling of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyolefin (PO) films, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polypropylene (PP), end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) and waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
