Venture Steel Inc., a flat-rolled steel and metal processor and distributor, has announced plans to invest in new equipment at its Ramos Arizpe facility in northern Mexico.

Venture Steel is part of Canada-based Giampaolo Group Inc., which also owns the Triple M Metal recycling facility network. Triple M operates a facility adjacent to the Venture Steel site in Ramos Arizpe. That city also hosts an expanding Deacero electric arc furnace (EAF) steelmaking campus.

“In pursuit of sustainable growth and increasing consumer demands within the Mexican manufacturing market, Venture Steel will expand its current facility and install new, state-of-the-art processing equipment,” the company says of its planned project.

Venture Steel says its investment in Mexico will enhance its capabilities while enabling it to reliably meet the demands of customers by increasing capacity and simultaneously creating opportunities to foster new relationships.

“This is a very exciting time for us at Venture Steel," says Tony Kafato, president of Venture Steel. "Our expanded footprint in Mexico will enable us to continue to provide industry-leading service in support of our growing customer base.”

The building expansion project is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of next year. An expanded metals processing and service center at Venture Steel likely will contribute to additional scrap volumes available for processing and selling by Triple M.
