Finland-based recycled-content stainless steel producer Outokumpu Corp. has announced an executive departure and the configuration of two committees within its board of directors.

At the executive level, Pia Aaltonen-Forsell, chief financial officer and member of the Outokumpu Leadership Team, has decided to leave Outokumpu to pursue a career opportunity outside the company, the firm says. Aaltonen-Forsell has been with Outokumpu since March 2019.

“I would like to thank Pia warmly for her leadership and achievements during the past years,” Outokumpu President and CEO Heikki Malinen says. “During her tenure, Outokumpu’s balance sheet has strengthened considerably, becoming the best in the industry. I wish Pia the best of success in the next phase of her career.”

Aaltonen-Forsell will remain in her current position until this fall and a process to find a successor for her will start immediately.

Also this April, the board of directors of Outokumpu announced appointments tied to two permanent committees, the audit committee and the remuneration committee.

The board has elected Jyrki Mäki-Kala as chair and Päivi Luostarinen, Petter Söderström and Julia Woodhouse as members of the audit committee, and elected Kari Jordan as chair and Heinz Jörg Fuhrmann, Kati ter Horst and Pierre Vareille as members of the remuneration committee.
