Food packaging manufacturer Sabert Corp., Sayreville, New Jersey, has launched its new Earthtel r-Pro line of round bowls and containers, made with the company’s proprietary polypropylene (PP) blend containing 25 percent postconsumer recycled (PCR) content. The new collection is 100 percent recyclable and meets Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) guidelines for recyclability.
Sabert says the new line has been designed with sustainability in mind for foodservice operators looking to reduce their environmental footprint. The round bowls and containers feature a sleek design and curated stone color.

“Earthtel r-Pro is the latest addition to our expansive portfolio of innovative sustainable packaging solutions that doesn’t sacrifice performance for aesthetics,” says Stephny Halstead, vice president of marketing and new product development at Sabert. “From using a new, proprietary recycled-content polypropylene blend to designing for full recyclability at end-of-life, the Earthtel r-Pro line exemplifies our commitment to minimizing environmental impact without compromising quality or functionality.”
The Earthtel r-Pro bowls and containers offer several features, according to Sabert, including:
- secure stacking that keeps bowls secure in transit and ensures proper ventilation when stacked, due to C-vents and channels on the lid which fits multiple ounce capacities;
- depths and sizes ranging from 18 to 32 ounces;
- the ability to withstand temperatures of up to 220 degrees Fahrenheit; and
- meeting APR guidelines for recyclability.
The company says the launch is part of its Earthtelligent platform, its comprehensive approach to sustainability through innovative product design, use of recycled materials and support for a circular economy. Its PP r-Pro material is a proprietary blend sourced from Sabert’s own Nuvida recycling facility in New Jersey, where material is diverted from landfills and repurposed as PCR.
Sabert is a member of the Polypropylene Recycling Coalition, which works to improve PP recovery and recycling in the United States.
