The International Secure Information Governance & Management Association (i-SIGMA), Phoenix, has appointed several new members to its board of directors during an election March 1.

The association has appointed Bowman Richards, CSDS of Richards & Richards LLC in Nashville, Tennessee, as president elect of the board. After a one-year term in this role, Richards will step up as the board’s president. He also serves as chair of the association’s Compliant Resolution Council and previously served as director on the interim i-SIGMA board of directors for the first two years of the association.

Two directors were also reelected to the board who will each serve an additional three-year term. Tony Perrotta of Greentec, based in Cambridge, Ontario, will continue as a director on the board representing Canada/South America. Perrotta also serves as chair of the i-SIGMA Canada Committee. Renee Pryor of Shred-X Secure Destruction, based in Australia, has been reelected to serve as director representing the Australia-Asia/Pacific Rim region. Pryor also serves as chair of the i-SIGMA ANZ Committee.

Richards, Perrotta and Pryor will be added to i-SIGMA’s board for their upcoming terms later this month, along with Brock Miller, CSDS of Shred Northwest in Portland, Oregon. Miller will be installed as the association’s president, having been voted in as president-elect in 2020. Miller also serves on multiple committees, including i-SIGMA’s Complaint Resolution Council and Executive Committee as well as chair of both the Membership Committee and the Insurance Oversight Committee.

“It is important to the association that we have people of this stature and integrity willing to serve,” says outgoing i-SIGMA President Patrick DeVries, CSDS, who will serve an additional year on the board as past president. “Through this election, we have been able to show our members and the world that i-SIGMA is a strong and robust association with great people committed to keeping it that way.”
