AllMetal Recycling, a Wichita, Kansas-based scrap metal company, has announced the acquisition of Glickman Metal Recycling, also in Wichita. Yaffe Cos., Muskogee, Oklahoma, acquired Glickman in 2002, according to an article in the Wichita Eagle.
AllMetal, which formed about 10 years ago, has three feeder yards in Wichita and two other facilities in the state. The purchase of Glickman includes an auto shredder, which is a key part of the deal.
Glickman has a small feeder yard near one of AllMetal’s operations, which will be closed, under the terms of the sale.
A significant amount of Glickman’s work involves the aerospace industry, which will strengthen AllMetal’s operations, according to the news report.
