Bandit’s Beast Model 3680XP grinder is the gold standard

Choose Bandit for productive, worry-free mulch making and land clearing.

Mike Kachur, owner of Niles, Michigan-based Kachur Tree Service, started small, but had his eye on the Bandit Industries Beast line of horizontal grinders from the very beginning. Bandit’s grinders are the gold standard for productive, worry-free mulch making and land clearing. He knew he had “made it” when he bought his first Beast grinder 13 years ago, and he’s recently added a new 1,050-horsepower 3680 Track to his fleet.

The Beast Model 3680XP track, a high production grinder, is the most popular model offered by Bandit. The 3680XP is equipped with a 42-inch diameter by 63-inch wide cuttermill and a 35-inch high by 60-inch wide mill opening. This machine uses a 30 or 60-tooth cuttermill, running Bandit’s patented saw-tooth style cutterbodies that regulate the size of the tooth’s bite. Most of the material is sized in the initial cut, so material exits the large screening area quicker. The cuttermill on the 3680XP track is larger in diameter compared to most competitive grinders allowing it to process larger diameter material with less vibration while using less horsepower and fuel.

Choose from a Caterpillar C27, 875 or 1,050-horsepower engine. A wide variety of tooth and screen options are available to adequately process and size material, and a single screen and gate can easily be changed from the side of the grinding chamber while utilizing the standard screen changing arm.

The 3680XP track comes standard with a Caterpillar 325EL steel track undercarriage and all track and grinding functions are controlled with a wireless radio remote control with tether back-up.

A 14-foot 9-inch by 60-inch infeed with a double slat design track infeed conveyor provides ample room for feeding a wide variety of material, while a 30-inch diameter feed wheel pulls material into the mill. Proportional feed with 6 speed adjustments allows for maximum productivity and fuel efficiency.

All grinding functions are controlled by a wireless radio remote control with tether back-up.
