Axo Shredders Corp., Kitchener, Ontario, has announced that it has changed its name to Alpine Shredders Ltd., ending its association with New Zealand-based Axo Shredders Ltd.
Alpine Shredders retains the leadership of COO Peter Viveen and his partners.

“Today’s announcement clarifies once and for all the confusion that has persisted in the market place since the NAID (National Association for Information Destruction) industry conference in Las Vegas,” Viveen says. “The change was necessary and long overdue.”
He adds, “The inner workings at Alpine remain unchanged. We continue to utilize what have been our own designs and engineering and remain the only mobile shredding equipment manufacturer to engineer, manufacture and service the complete mobile package, including the industry’s most simple and robust shredder, unload system, truck body, control system and lifter.”
Alpine Shredders has launched a revised website, www.alpineshredders.com, as well as a new logo.
