Ray Barry joins Vecoplan
Effective Aug. 1, 2015, Ray Barry has joined Vecoplan LLC, Archdale, North Carolina, as sales manager for its mobile, document destruction and paper recycling division.
Formerly deputy executive director for the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID), Phoenix, Barry also has served as dean of Shred School and began his career in executive sales and operations positions with private-sector shredding services providers. He brings more than 15 years of practical sales and marketing experience within the secure destruction industry to his new position at Vecoplan.
In addition to sales management, his other responsibilities will include working with customers and Vecoplan R&D (research and development) engineers to develop solutions for challenges faced by processors in the field. He also will play a role in coordinating the introduction of these new technologies to the market, Vecoplan says.
Barry is recognized as a thought-leader in the secure destruction industry, has authored numerous articles in trade journals, has been a speaker at NAID and PRISM International conferences and continues his involvement in Shred School, Vecoplan says.
Vecoplan provides design, engineering, manufacture, installation, commissioning, training and parts and service for processing systems used in document destruction, materials recovery, recycling, waste-to-energy and biomass facilities around the world.
AES adds project coordinator
Adam Burnley has joined Advanced Equipment Sales (AES), Souderton, Pennsylvania, as a project coordinator. Burnley will assist with project management and logistics for the company’s solid waste and recycling installations throughout North America.
“Adam’s solid understanding of mechanical processes, strong communication skills and exceptional work ethic are a perfect fit for this customer-facing position,” says AES President Jeff Dietterich.
AES is an equipment sales and integration company.
Toter names new president
Recycling and waste equipment manufacturer Wastequip, Charlotte, North Carolina, has added an executive leadership position at its corporate headquarters. Industrial manufacturing veteran Chris Kete has joined the company’s plastics division, where he will lead business and brand strategy for Toter, which manufactures two-wheel carts for curbside collection of recyclables, organics and waste and for secure collection of documents.
Kete assumes profit and loss responsibility and oversees sales, marketing, manufacturing, operations, supply chain and customer service for one of Wastequip’s largest divisions. He is responsible for achieving Toter’s long-range growth plans, plus other duties.

Ameri-Shred Corp., Alpena, Michigan, has introduced the eighth addition to the company’s hard drive shredder line, the AMS-300HD-SSD, which shreds solid state drives (SSDs) as well as rotary hard drives. Features include:
- a dual-head cutting chamber that can shred SSDs to 3/8 inches and rotary drives to 1.5-inches wide;
- each chamber has its own infeed slot and discharge bin;
- throughput ranges from 360-600 drives per hour, depending on the drives;
- requires three-phase power
