As reported by PPI Pulp & Paper Week June 5, 2014, sorted office paper (SOP) pricing across all regions of the U.S. held steady relative to pricing posted in May.
OCC (old corrugated containers) pricing, on the other hand, declined for most of the U.S. for the third straight month, according to PPI. Pricing remained unchanged, however, for the two largest markets: San Francisco/Los Angeles and the Southeast. This steadiness is despite lower demand from consumers in China, Mexico and India, PPI reports.
