Vecoplan announces staff appointments
Vecoplan LLC, an Archdale, North Carolina-based equipment company, has appointed Bob Gilmore as its new managing director and chief sales officer (CSO).
Gilmore’s responsibilities as CSO include supervising all internal and external sales staff and overseeing the expansion of Vecoplan’s markets.
As managing director, Gilmore also joins Len Beusse, managing director and chief operating officer, on Vecoplan’s strategic planning team, which is responsible for positioning the company for sustainable, long-term growth.
Vecoplan made the move in conjunction with co-founding member Marty Kennedy’s decision to retire. Kennedy, formerly executive vice president, was responsible for overseeing sales at the company. He continues working with Vecoplan in a consulting capacity during the transition.
Gilmore’s background includes serving as vice president and general manager of GAI Recycling, a privately held plastics brokering company.
Gilmore, with more than 28 years of experience in sales and management, joined Vecoplan in 1998 as a sales executive and was named director of business development.
In other Vecoplan news, Greg Shaffer has been promoted to the position of service manager.
Working with Vecoplan’s internal team of service technicians, Shaffer will devise and implement systematic procedures and programs designed to maximize service quality and efficiency, Vecoplan says. Shaffer also will oversee Vecoplan’s network of certified service personnel throughout North America.
