Mostly steady
Prices for sorted office paper (SOP) across most regions tracked by PPI Pulp & Paper Week for delivery in April held steady or decreased. Prices declined by $5 per short ton in the Northeast and Southeast while they remained steady in the Midwest, Southwest and San Francisco/Los Angeles region. The Pacific Northwest was the one exception, with prices increasing $5 per short ton for open market purchases to be delivered in April. This bumped SOP pricing to the $145-$155 range in the Pacific Northwest.
