Perm-A-Store Expands Line of Waterproof Cases

Perm-A-Store, Golden Valley, Minn., has announced the expansion of its heavy-duty Turtle Airline Transportation Association- (ATA-) certified, waterproof, airtight protective cases, designed for the transport and storage of tapes, hard drives and paper documents.

The cases offer an extra measure of protection for data media tapes, removable hard drives, laptops and equipment, according to Perm-A-Store. Since being introduced one year ago with offerings for two capacities for LTO (linear tape open) cartridges and 3.5-inch hard drives, the line has been expanded to 13 case configurations that address a variety of needs.

The stackable storage cases offer a range of features, including format specific precut slots, impact protection and temperature and humidity protection. The cases are airtight with an automatic pressure relief valve and a double-claw latching system. They feature 100-percent stainless steel hardware and a soft-grip handle. The company also provides a lifetime warranty for the cases.

Ken Schneider, CEO of Perm-A-Store, says, “Customers have asked us to expand this new family of Turtle cases; and, while these cases have a different appearance and feel than our still-thriving original design, our priority remains to provide the very highest level of protection available against the key threats to data: damage from impact, temperature and humidity extremes and debris.”

Alan O’Regan, vice president of sales and marketing for Perm-A-Store, says the company continually works to improve its products. “Based on the first year’s results with our ATA shatterproof cases we are confident that our resellers and customers will support enthusiastically these new additions to the Turtle case line.”
