Vecoplan Appoints Service Director
William Davison has been named the service director of Archdale, N.C.-based Vecoplan LLC, a manufacturer of shredding, recycling and waste processing equipment. Responsibilities of the new position include planning, allocating resources, scheduling and managing maintenance and service on existing machines, systems and control panels in the field.

Formerly general manager at Sieger Mechanical Maintenance Ltd., Davison brings more than 22 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience to Vecoplan.

Mike Wilhoit, vice president of operations at Vecoplan, says, “I’ve worked with Bill for nearly a decade now, and we’re fortunate to both need him and be able to get him.”

Wilhoit adds, “First, we need him because the number and sophistication of systems and machines that we have in the field continues to grow rapidly, so we’re fortunate to be able to grow with it. Second, Sieger Mechanical is one of our most trusted subcontractors, and that’s how I met Bill. He not only has practical maintenance experience in the field, he has hands on experience with our machinery. Plus, as general manager, he has the supervisory skills needed to get the job done, and that’s good for him, for us and, most importantly, for our customers.”

Pancel Acquires All Source Security Container USA
Peter Pancel, general manager and president of All Source USA, based in Barrie, Ontario, has acquired full ownership of the company.

In addition to its new ownership, All Source has developed an alliance with Advanced Green Compliance Solutions (goAGC), a business solutions company, to provide financing, marketing, merchant banking and other services.

Pancel says, “Utilizing a strategic alliance partnership with goAGC will allow us the ability to help our clients succeed in every aspect of their document destruction business.”

All Source says there will be no interruption in sales or product delivery during the ownership transition.

“We will expand our presence in the document destruction industry, continuously striving to improve security, safety and ergonomics of the containers, offering even more efficient solutions to shredding companies across North America,” Pancel says.

All Source Security Container USA also has announced the launch of its Ergo DuraFlex Executive Console, which replaces the bag with an insert, making it more efficient to empty, the company says.

UNTHA Debuts Alternate Version of the RS40 Shredder
UNTHA America Inc., based in Hampton, N.H., has introduced a “system integration” version of its RS40 series four-shaft shredder. Unlike the stand-alone version, this machine is designed to be used by system builders and integrators where a hopper, stand, cladding, etc., are not necessary, UNTHA says.

“What we have tried to do is anticipate what a system builder wouldn’t need and delete it from the standard machine. But it is much more than that,” says Peter Dion, regional sales manager. He says UNTHA has added a special “H” frame on the underside of the unit to accommodate the screen’s quick change system.

“There is also a standard flange under the screen, which makes interfacing with a chute or pneumatic conveyor much easier than with our previous versions,” says Charles Hildebrand, regional sales manager. “Controls are also an option, and we can provide information and assistance to the builder to use either our standard box or provide the interface necessary to operate the machine from another control source.”

The RS30 and RS40 Series shredders were completely redesigned in 2010 and offer a variety of standard features, such as two-piece mechanical seals, wear plates, a central lubrication system for the front bearings and gearbox oil level monitoring, UNTHA says. They are suited for wet or dry applications such as medical waste processing, e-scrap recycling, wood and plastics.

UNTHA America is a wholly owned subsidiary of UNTHA Shredding Technology GmbH of Salzburg, Austria.
