College Introduces Online Electronic Data Storage Certificate

Southern Arkansas University (SAU) Tech now offers an online Electronic Data Storage Certificate of Proficiency program, created in collaboration with PRISM International, the data storage industry’s leading professional association, and other industry participants.

The online certificate was created in response to industry demand for training in the areas specific to electronic data storage, according to SAU Tech. Candidates can participate in the program via the Internet.

“We are very excited about the new Electronic Data Storage Management program,” says Corbet Lamkin, chancellor of SAU Tech. “The global outreach and contemporary content of the program are in keeping with SAU Tech’s tradition of service to industry, government and community.”

Courses in the Electronic Data Storage Certificate of Proficiency include:

• Introduction to Data Storage;
• Enterprise Support Technician;
• Data Storage Regulations & Standards;
• Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery;
• Data Storage Management, Planning & Architecture; and
• Database Design & Management.

The program is fully accredited by the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and SAU Tech is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
