Residents may dispose of a maximum of 10 tires per person with a West Virginia ID. The tires must be off the rims. Only car and light truck tires 16 inches or less will be accepted. Haulers and businesses are not allowed to participate.
Over the next several months, tire collection events will be held in all 55 counties in the state.
The events are made possible through West Virginia’s REAP-The Next Generation initiative within DEP's Division of Land Restoration. REAP brings together all of the state's cleanup programs to maximize the state's cleanup efforts.
The first events are slated for May 4-6 in 12 southern West Virginia counties. All of the events will be held. at DOH facilities. The locations are as follows:

Fayette Co., Oak Hill, WV 16, south of U.S. 19 intersection
Greenbrier Co., Lewisburg, U.S. 219, north of I-64 Exit 169
Logan Co., Chapmanville, Co. Rt. 119/90, south of U.S. 119
McDowell Co., Havaco, WV 103, south of U.S. 52/WV 16
Mercer Co., Princeton, WV 20 at Morrison Drive
Mingo Co., Nolan, U.S. 119
Monroe Co., Union, WV 3, one mile east of junction U.S. 219
Nicholas Co., Summersville, WV 41, west of U.S. 19 intersection
Raleigh Co., Skelton, Co. Rt. 21/4, behind the Raleigh Mall
Summers Co., Hinton, WV 12, south of WV 3 intersection
Wyoming Co., Rock View, WV 10, northwest of Pineville.
