The Materials Pricing Report from the Waste & Resources Action Programme has won a prize for the ‘Best Commercial Partnership’ at the Association of Online Publishing awards 2005.
The MPR, produced for WRAP by ICIS-LOR is a weekly e-bulletin providing price reports and market intelligence on the recycled paper, glass and plastic markets in the United Kingdom.
The MPR is a subscription service which is distributed in the form of a weekly e-mail direct to a subscriber's inbox, and can also be viewed by subscribers on the internet via the WRAP website. The latest price information, as well as historical data, is provided on specified grades of recovered paper, glass and plastics, and reflects, as far as possible, variables in the market place such as quality and volume.
Subscription to the Report is free to those organizations that sell or collect materials for recycling from the UK waste stream or purchase the material. In return, subscribers are required to provide information on the sale/purchase of their own materials, which is then consolidated with other data and used to create the Report. The MPR is operated on a completely confidential basis, and information presented in it is anonymous and not attributable to any single subscriber.
