The Apsley Paper Trail in Hertfordshire, UK, has been awarded regional funding in excess of £500,000 by the Waste & Resources Action Programme.
The innovative ‘Paper Magic’ program involves the free collection of copier and other white waste paper from participating schools for recycling at partner recycling paper mills. The Robert Horne Group will develop and market the products to the office, schools and personal stationery sectors nationally under the ‘Paper Magic’ brand.
The project aims to divert 10,000 metric tons of paper a year. The organization hopes to enroll more than 550 schools in the program.
Paper Planet Ltd, part of the Pearce Recycling Group will provide the collection of paper from schools and community groups.
