At Wilmington Paper, Lurie is responsible for setting up a unique Recycling Management Program that enhances bottom-line revenue by improving efficiencies of movement and segregation of fiber in folding carton and converting facilities. In his position at Worldwide Fibers, he is responsible for the development of consistent sources of supply for their export customers.
Schlenger spent 19 years at Harmon Associates, the recycling division of Georgia-Pacific. As Vice President-International Sales, he was an integral part of the management team overseeing wastepaper procurement as well as sales throughout the world. As president of Worldwide Fibers, he is responsible for strategic planning, overseas marketing of paper for recycling and converting and fiber procurement programs.
Schlenger says, “By joining forces, we can generate programs to improve efficiencies and enhance revenues at converting facilities, get their materials directly to end users in the U.S. and overseas, thereby providing new sales opportunities for our suppliers and a consistent stream of secondary fiber for our customers.”
Lurie adds, “The skill sets we bring together are perfectly matched – we combine a program that provides long-term high quality supply matched with an export program that ensures long-term relationships with consuming mills worldwide. Our reputation, credibility and integrity in our industry, along with our combined years of experience will enhance our ability to offer long-term solutions and stability to our customers.”
