World of Asphalt 2006 Sets Education Programming

Two programs available, along with equipment demonstrations and exhibits.

The World of Asphalt 2006 Show, which will be March 13-16, 2006, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, will feature two conferences, the Asphalt Pavement Alliance (APA) Asphalt Pavement Conference and the People, Plants and Paving Training Program.

With a theme of “Environmental Innovations in Asphalt,” the goal of the APA Asphalt Pavement Conference is to show attendees ways to design and build asphalt pavement with improved environmental features. Presentations will focus on meeting the education needs of paving professionals involved in design, construction and maintenance processes.

The People, Plants and Paving Training Program offers four different programs tracks designed to meet the professional development needs of paving and plant foremen, superintendents and managers from contracting companies of all sizes. Sessions will examine improving management skills, optimizing asphalt plant performance, construction quality pavement and enhancing workforce safety.

The equipment demonstration spotlights basic best practices for asphalt operations from milling to striping.

The APA Conference will be held March 13-14; the training program will be March 14-16, and the equipment demonstration will be March 15.
