Waste Management Inc. of Florida, Pompano Beach, Fla., a subsidiary of Waste Management Inc., has acquired Southeastern Recycling, a 100-square-foot single-stream recycling facility located in Miami that serves more than 1,000 customers in South Florida.
“The acquisition of Southeastern Recycling expands our capabilities of processing single-stream commercial and residential recycling materials and allows us to meet the growing needs of our customers in South Florida,” Tim Hawkins, WMI area vice president, says. “The move also helps us achieve our strategic business goals of knowing our customers and servicing them better than anyone in the industry, expanding recycling and extracting value from the materials we manage, and ensuring that waste no longer goes to waste.”
