Wisetek opens plant in Dublin

Irish firm continues to expand its e-scrap business with the opening of its newest plant.

Wisetek, a global provider of secure data-elimination and responsible IT recycling services, has opened its first secure operations facility in Dublin. The company provides IT security through its extensive “track and trace” reporting on data erasure and/or destruction and the processing of all related materials from used systems.

As part of its expansion, Wisetek, headquartered in Cork, Ireland, will add 20 jobs, which will be spread between the Dublin facility and the company’s re-manufacturing facility in Cork.

Commenting on the Dublin plant opening, Sean Sheehan, CEO of Wisetek, says, "There is a significant and growing cluster of data centers in Dublin which has become a hub for global data center operators. Our existing Dublin customers and other companies are increasingly seeking global services solutions for the optimum management of their used IT infrastructure systems, to ensure that they achieve global standards for data security, financial recovery and full assurance that their used IT systems are being processed to their highest environmental standards.

Wisetek currently has operations in the United States, Asia and EMEA regions.
