Wisconsin Company to Start Shingle Recycling

MCC Inc. will begin collecting shingles in March.

 

A company based in Appleton, Wis., has announced it will begin collecting and recycling asphalt shingles, according to a report in the Green Bay Press Gazette (Green Bay, Wis.).

 

Murphy Concrete & Construction (MCC) Inc. will begin collecting and recycling roofing shingles at its site in Mackville, Wis., in March, according tot eh report.

 

The company received a permit to recycle asphalt shingles last fall and will work with Rooftop Recycling of Elkhorn, Wis., to recycle the shingles into a product for use in hot-mix asphalt.

 

The company will accept shingles from building contractors and waste haulers.
