Willimantic Waste Paper Installs Lubo C&D System

Operation capable of processing 50 tons per hour.

Willimantic Waste Paper Co., Willimantic, Conn., has opened a construction and demolition debris recycling facility to complement its current, metal, paper and plastic recycling operations.

The operation is capable of an 80 percent to 85 percent recycling rate, with an average throughput of 50 tons per hour. Products made include two wood fuel products, aggregate, ferrous and non-ferrous metals and two paper products, OCC and mixed paper.

The largely Lubo USA system includes an excavator with a grapple loading a vibratory feeder, then an inclined conveyor with a presorting capability, followed by a primary starscreen that feeds two picking lines. The line for the unders from the primary screen also has on it an air separation system before a model of water separation tank from Lubo, which incorporates a starscreen in it to remove deleterious from the wood that floats out.
