MeWa Introduces Shredder for Cable Scrap

MeWa Recycling, Germany, has introduced the CableCutter CC 1200, a machine designed for breaking down cable scrap that features specially designed shredder geometry. With a throughput capacity of up to 3 metric tons per hour, the CableCutter CC 1200 can increase the throughput capacity of a cable recycling plant, according to the company.

The machine works according to the guillotine shear's functioning principle and is equipped with changeable triangular blades, the company says. A spur gear unit in the machine is powered by an electric motor. The machine is manufactured in a solid steel-welding construction for a vibration-free operation. The granulator’s screen is designed for easy changes and can achieve a grain size of 20 to 50 millimeters in diameter, the company says. If required, special sizes are available.

The feed chute is 2.3 meters wide, for dump and run operation. The machine is specifically adapted to further processing with granulators, according to the company. More information is available at www.mewa-recycling.com.
