Wendt Corp., Tonawanda, N.Y., has introduced the TITECH X-Tract XRF Separator, which it says makes producing a low copper shredded ferrous product quick and easy.
Features of the sorter include:
• Using energy dispersive x-ray fluorescence technology (EDXRF) to identify and remove copper-containing material such as “meatballs,” pieces of free copper and copper wiring harnesses.
• Designed to operate either in line with an existing ferrous downstream system or offline as the final upgrading phase of ferrous processing.
