Wendt Announces Wendt Finder 2400 Installations

CMC Metals and Morristown Recycling install units.

Wendt Corp., Tonawanda, N.Y., has announced the sale of Wendt Finder 2400 systems to Commercial Metals’ Jacksonville, Fla., yard and to Morristown Iron & Metal, Morristown, Tenn.

The Wendt Finder 2400 is designed to pick up where eddy currents leave off, recovering more stainless steel, copper windings, insulated and bare copper wire, according to the company.

Using its Wendt Finder 2400, Morristown will be able to process fluff on site to maximize recovery and revenue.

CMC says that the performance of the Finder in its other locations has resulted in significant nonferrous recovery, increased revenue and a rapid return on investment, according to a press release from Wendt.

Wendt manufacturers the Finder line of equipment at its facility in Tonawanda, N.Y. It includes technology developed by CommoDaS GmbH (formerly SSE), Wedel, Germany. The companies have supplied more than 150 separators to the auto shredding industry worldwide.
