Weima America, Fort Mill, South Carolina, has announced that it will be a gold sponsor and exhibitor at the 2016 Plastics Recycling Conference, which is scheduled for Feb. 1-3 in New Orleans.
Weima’s booth at the event will feature its WLK 4 single-shaft shredder equipped with a V-Rotor to process hard plastic scrap up to about the size of a bowling ball. Larger models within the WLK Series also can be equipped with an F-Rotor, which is ideal for processing film and fiber applications, according to the company.
The WLK4 preshreds plastics to a consistent particle size for introduction to a granulator for further processing, Weima says.
Other features of the WLK4 include knife/counter knife tolerance protection, adjustable counter knives, enclosed hydraulics, a powerful electric drive, changeable screens and a hydraulic ram.
