A news report aired on Atlanta TV station WSB, Channel 2, features a couple from Spokane, Wash., that has been collecting aluminum used beverage containers (UBCs) in order to pay for their planned July 2010 wedding celebration.
According to the report, Andrea Parrish and Peter Geyer estimate they have collected 15,000 cans so far and are hopeful that they will be able to collect up to 400,000 cans and raise up to $3,500 through their UBC recycling efforts.
