BuyMyTronics.com, a one-year old business showing 30 percent monthly growth, is now taking in some 500 pre-owned cell phones and other gadgets each month, according to president and CEO Brett Mosley.
The Web site offers cash for broken and used electronics, including iPods, iPhones, cell phones, Zunes and gaming consoles, according to Mosely, with the ability to accept laptops on course for later this spring.
Mosely says the site may pay as much as $225 for a broken iPhone.
“Our services are more profitable, faster and easier for the product owners than Craigslist or EBay,” says Mosley. “We're able to make money by taking the working parts from some devices and using them to fix others.”
