Rear loaders equipped with the Arlock tipper can latch onto commercial dumpsters and tip, dump, return and release the dumpster in a single, automated motion.
The Arlock employs a latching system that locks onto both sides of the dumpster’s trunions. The latching arms pull up on the trunions while the kick bar pivots upward to tip and empty the dumpster. At the same time, the Arlock tailgate plate extends upward to eliminate the gap between the tailgate and the dumpster to prevent any refuse from escaping. This “extendable” tailgate increases hopper capacity between cycles by up to 25 percent, according to the company.
The Arlock tipping system is available on all Wayne Engineering Phoenix rear loaders, and can also be retrofitted onto many other makes and models of rear loaders.
