Waupaca Foundry, a supplier of recycled-content iron castings, has appointed Jayson Komp as its vice president of human resources.
In his new role, Komp is being asked to oversee all aspects of human resources strategy, talent acquisition, employee development and organizational culture across operations of the Waupaca, Wisconsin-based metals producer.
“We’re excited to welcome Jayson Komp to the Waupaca Foundry leadership team,” CEO Mike Hawthorne says.
“He has a proven track record of building high performing teams that makes him the ideal leader to support our continued growth and enhance our workplace culture. Jayson’s strategic approach to talent management will be instrumental as we advance our operational excellence initiatives.”
Komp brings more than two decades of HR leadership experience to his new role. Most recently he served as an HR vice president with tools producer Stanley Black & Decker Inc.
Before that, he held positions roles at paper and hygiene products maker Kimberly-Clark and started his career at aerospace engineering firm GKN.

Waupaca Foundry supplies iron castings to the automotive, commercial vehicle, agriculture, construction and industrial markets, producing gray and ductile iron castings. The company and its 4,000 employees operate five iron foundries located in Waupaca and Marinette, Wisconsin, and in Tell City, Indiana.
