Wastequip Makes Personnel Appointments

Wastequip Inc., based in Cleveland, has appointed Greg Podell to the post of chief operating officer and John Defenbaugh to the position of president of the Galbreath Group.

Podell is responsible for all of the company’s operations throughout the United States and Canada.

Podell previously served as president of Galbreath Group. After joining Galbreath in 1984 in direct sales, he served in a number of posts throughout the last 22 years. He was instrumental recently in beginning Parts Place, an aftermarket parts business dedicated to the refuse industry. Podell also helped in the company’s acquisition of Pioneer Cover-All.

Defenbaugh has been promoted to the post that Podell vacated at Galbreath. 

As president of the Galbreath Group, Defenbaugh is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the group’s operations, including sales and marketing, financing and safety.

Defenbaugh began his career with Galbreath in 1995 as inside sales manager. He most recently served as vice president of operations for the Galbreath Group, which included operational responsibilities for the company’s California and Oregon facilities.
