Wastequip, headquartered in Beachwood, Ohio, has acquired Toter Inc., Statesville, NC. Toter is the largest manufacturer of plastic carts used for curbside recycling and waste programs in the United States. The deal was completed April 13th.
Wastequip, which is the largest container company in the United States, has been making a number of acquisitions in the container manufacturing sector over the past several years. The company has around 35 different locations where they manufacture containers.
Earlier this year the company acquired Cascade Container. This is the first acquisition for the company since Wastequip was acquired by Odyssey Investment Partners LLC, a private equity firm.
Toter has operations in Statesville; Del Rio, Texas; Acuna, Mexico; and Sanger, Calif.
