Wastequip Enhances 6030HD Vertical Baler

Company says the newly designed baler will improve operations at a lower price.

Wastequip has redesigned its 6030HD baler, resulting in a unit that includes what it calls the largest opening of any 6030 baler on the market. The vertical baler features both enhanced functionality and a 12 percent reduction in price.

“The redesign of 6030HD Vertical Baler makes it more user-friendly and illustrates our commitment to continuous product improvement and to expanded cardboard recycling,” says Kirk Warren, technical products manager for Wastequip. “The new baler enhances ease of use and operator safety, all at a significantly reduced price point, which should help encourage increased recycling.”

The enhanced baler has a 27 ½-inch feed opening, making loading large cardboard boxes easier. The overall unit remains 96 inches high, allowing it to fit under most doorways for ease of installation.

The redesigned baler also features a 45-second cycle time, an ejection plate that is more robust than ejection chains and built-in fork lift pockets for easier and safer transportation. In addition, oil and temperature gauges have been sighted at eye level so that operators can more closely monitor oil volume, cleanliness and temperature.

The baler includes front and rear retaining teeth to stabilize the bale and increase the density. The baler also provides low temperature oil for a wider temperature operating range and an outdoor protective paint finish for long-lasting protection against oxidation and rust.

“All of the improvements to our 6030HD are designed to encourage increased recycling by retailers, manufacturers and any other organizations with high volumes of waste,” Warren said. “Our focus on continuous product improvement enables us to provide products that are highly responsive to customer needs and that provide a positive return on investment.”
