WasteCap Nebraska will be hosting a free webinar on Thursday, August 27, on the topic of zero waste business facility certification.
The one-hour event will feature comments from Stephanie Barger, the founder and executive director of the U.S. Zero Waste Business Council (USZWBC).
“Participants will learn about the requirements and process for obtaining a Zero Waste Business Facility Certification and provide great examples of how businesses have achieved this designation and saved money,” according to WasteCap Nebraska.
The Lincoln, Nebraska-based organization recommends the webinar for companies “just starting their recycling program or [those who have] more advanced sustainability programs.”
Those seeking to register for the webinar, which will run from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Central time, can go to this web page.
Stephanie Barger founded the U.S. Zero Waste Business Council (USZWBC) in 2012 to provide educational resources, peer-to-peer networking and third-party certification for businesses seeking to reduce their waste footprint.
More information on the webinar also can be obtained from Julie Diegel of WasteCap Nebraska at jdiegel@wastecapne.org.
