Waste Management of Ohio has acquired Metro Waste Disposal, a solid waste services company serving primarily business customers in the Cleveland, Akron and Canton area. Waste Management of Ohio is a subsidiary of Waste Management, Inc..
Metro Disposal has offices in Cleveland and Canton, primarily serving commercial and industrial customers. Initially, those operations will be combined with Waste Management's network of Ohio service locations as personnel and equipment needs are assessed.
"Merging two of the area's best companies will enhance the ability of the combined firm to serve the future needs of our customers," said Mike O'Donnell, Metro's president.
