Waste Management Inc. (WMI), Houston, has announced the appointment of James Trevathan as executive vice president, growth, innovation and field support. He will report directly to David Steiner, WMI president and CEO. Trevathan previously served as senior vice president of the WMI Southern Group operations.
In his new role, Trevathan will be responsible for integrating the company’s operations, sales and personnel functions to support the company’s growth goals.
Succeeding Trevathan as senior vice president of the Southern Group is Brett Frazier, who will shift from his post as senior vice president, Eastern Group.
Frazier joined Waste Management in 2000 as a regional sales manager. Prior to joining WM, he served in various roles for almost 20 years with Browning-Ferris Industries.
WMI also appointed James Fish Jr. to succeed Frazier as senior vice president of its Eastern Group operations. Fish previously was area vice president of the company’s Pennsylvania and West Virginia market.
In the realign of its senior leadership team, WMI named David Aardsma chief sales and marketing officer, reporting to Jim Trevathan. Additionally, William Caesar, chief strategy officer, has joined the senior leadership team.
Jay Romans, WMI senior vice president of human resources and chief people officer, is retiring from the company.
