Waste Management announced plans to buy some of the collection, transfer and landfill assets of Allied Waste Industries Inc. in a deal valued at $73 million.
The two companies said the targeted operations, located in five states, represent about $125 million in annual revenue. They include hauling, transfer and material recovery facilities in New Jersey; hauling and landfill operations in Oklahoma; and hauling operations in South Carolina, Georgia and Colorado.
