Waste consulting firm celebrates 20 years in business.

North Carolina-based Waste Disposal Solutions consults on waste minimization.

Greensboro, North Carolina-based Waste Disposal Solutions (WDS) says it has now spent two decades focusing on its mission “to feed the bottom line [and] starve the landfill,” the slogan it markets to its customers. “By transforming solid waste expenses into profit for our clients, [we] have become a global leader in waste management and recycling solutions,” says the firm, which was founded in 1996.

“Trash is not at the top of most companies’ priority lists, yet it quickly becomes a growing expense,” says WDS President Anne Givan. “This is where we come in to analyze your waste stream and find ways to divert materials away from landfills and direct profit into your bottom line,” she adds.

WDS says part of what it is doing to celebrate its anniversary is to “welcome the challenge from companies across the country to allow them to prove they really can feed their bottom line and starve the landfill.”

The company says it is capable of analyzing its customers’ waste streams and finding innovative ways to realize immediate savings upon the implementation of customized recycling and sustainability programs. These savings, says WDS, are then compounded year over year and combined with additional savings.

The company quotes the anonymous supply chain director of a building supply company as saying, “I have been working with WDS for 20 years and have not only been impressed with their constant drive for improvement, but also with the engineering process that they use to streamline everything that we need for profitable waste disposal at all of our locations.”
