Waste Connections Inc., The Woodlands, Texas, has purchased select noncore hauling assets of Red River Waste Solutions (RR Waste), Dripping Springs, Texas. The specific terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. The Environmental and Industrial Services team of Cleveland-based law firm Brown Gibbons Lang and Co. (BGL) served as financial advisor to RR Waste in the transaction.
Waste Connections purchased RR Waste's hauling operation in Rapid City, South Dakota, which provides solid waste collection, recycling and disposal services to residential and commercial customers. The transaction combines the two largest waste management participants in the South Dakota market. RR Waste remains highly acquisitive in its current markets, according to BGL.
Founded in 1988, RR Waste is a solid waste management and recycling company specializing in residential and commercial solid waste collection, hauling and landfill management. The company provides services to residential and commercial customers, primarily in the southern U.S., including Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana and Texas, as well as in Iowa.
