Waste Connections Completes Acquisitions

Waste Connections, Inc. announced it has closed or signed definitive agreements for an additional 6 acquisitions in the first quarter, with total annualized revenues of about $33 million.

Waste Connections, Inc. announced it has closed or signed definitive agreements for an additional 6 acquisitions in the first quarter, with total annualized revenues of about $33 million.

Of this total, approximately $23 million was attributable to acquisitions closed or signed earlier in the first quarter. The largest of the new acquisitions was Ocoee Environmental, a group of companies representing a large operation in Eastern Tennessee and Northwestern Georgia.

The company also acquired a large related tuck-in serving the Ocoee markets. Included in the Ocoee transaction was two MSW landfills and three transfer stations. The other acquisitions include a series of tuck-in acquisitions in Tennessee, Kansas, Colorado and Oklahoma.
