Waste Connections, Folsom, Calif., recently acquired Ocoee Environmental Services, one of the largest waste management companies in Tennessee.
Ocoee Environmental and its sister company, Environmental Trust Co., began in 1997. The company grew its business by acquiring smaller waste hauling and landfill companies in Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia. Ocoee now serves about 40,000 customers, including 15,000 through municipal service agreements.
