Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE), Asheville, N.C., has announced the sale of its LB Smith dealership operations in Virginia to McClung-Logan Virginia LLC, a subsidiary of McClung-Logan Equipment Co. Inc., Baltimore, according to a release from Volvo.
Under the new agreement between the two companies, McClung-Logan Virginia will serve its new market area from current Virginia LB Smith branch facilities in Richmond, Roanoke, Chesapeake and Wise, Va.
Volvo CE purchased the assets associated with the Volvo construction equipment business of L.B. Smith Inc., its East Coast distributor, in 2003.
McClung-Logan Equipment Co. has been a dealer for Volvo construction since 1983.
