Volkswagen, CCR Extend Contract Deal

Contract is expected to run through 2008.

Volkswagen’s waste disposal contract for the workshops of its dealer network with CCR Logistics Systems AG has been extended until December 31, 2008.

The two companies began the program in 1997. The contract provides for CCR handling the collection, recycling and disposal of waste from the dealers.

“Since we tailor our service quality to the needs of our customer, we have been able to secure this high satisfaction of the dealers with our services. With the dealer network of VW, Seat, Skoda and Audi we service around 4,000 waste sources throughout Germany', said Achim Winter, CEO of CCR Logistics Systems AG.

“The performance and price pressure amongst subcontractors and in the automotive industry is enormous. For that reason we are pleased to see that CCR meets the higher requirements and that this has repeatedly been confirmed by a survey among dealers. CCR masters not only the recycling and reprocessing of waste but also the entire data management and reporting. This approach assures the quality of our dealer network and not only ensures their high satisfaction but also ours in our capacity as principal', stresses Nicole Müller, Head of the Competence Center Environmental and Resource Protection of Volkswagen Original Parts Logistics, Baunatal.
