Vitran Corp., a North American transportation and logistics firm, announced the sale of its Surrey, BC-based ETL environmental recycling business to Metro Waste Paper Recovery, Inc. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Richard McGraw, president and CEO, said, "The sale of non-core holding ETL allows us to focus our corporate resources on our main business, providing premium freight and distribution services and solutions, including LTL, truckload, intermodal and logistics, throughout the United States and Canada. This is a mutually beneficial agreement for both parties since Vitran realized cash for a non-core asset, and ETL provides Metro Waste with a good foundation for future growth."Latest from Recycling Today
