Franklin, New Hampshire-based Vitex Extrusions LLC says it has signed a long-term lease to add 50,000 square feet of manufacturing capacity to its existing 115,000 square feet of floor space in Franklin.
The company, which makes extrusions using both primary and recycled-content aluminum billets as feedstock, says the new plant space will be dedicated to the machining, fabrication and assembly of aluminum extrusions.
“Over the last few years we’ve made a number of strategic investments in new equipment and technologies to meet the downstream manufacturing needs of our customers,” says Andrew Curland, the president and CEO of Vitex. “As a result, our existing building could no longer accommodate the ’value-added’ business growth. We’re fortunate this nearby facility became available, allowing us to move our machining and fabrication business into a manufacturing space that will accommodate continued growth.”
The company says it expects to have the new building fully operational by the end of this month.
Vitex has been a part of NSA Industries LLC since January 2020, when it was acquired by that St. Johnsbury, Vermont-based provider of metal fabrication, machining, powder coating and assembly services.
