Autorecyclers LLC is looking to obtain a conditional use permit to operate an indoor automobile recycling facility in the city. According to Tracey Shiftlett, director of Community Development for the city, due to the large size of the building, the operation would be totally enclosed. There will be some processing, as well as some possible shredding of vehicles at the location.
The project is looking to open by this June, and would occupy an empty building and would be an adaptive reuse operation that was previously used by Reeves Brothers.
Sitting in the public hearing will be both the Planning Commission and the City Council.
