Electrical and lighting equipment distributor Rexel can now make it easier for buyers of such equipment to recycle their end-of-life materials.
Working with Veolia Environmental Services,
“Lighting upgrades to existing buildings usually involve replacement of lamps and ballasts,” notes Robert Stroescu, Rexel’s Dallas-based national lighting product manager. “These items must be disposed according to federal and local regulations.”
“Environmentally, the smart and responsible thing to do is to recycle the lamps,” he continues. “Our partnership with Veolia reflects our commitment to solve our customers’ problems—and protect the environment—by providing a turnkey lamp recycling solution. The customer can recycle at the same place he or she purchases lighting equipment.”
More information on the program can be obtained at local Rexel branches or on the Web at www.rexelusa.com/locations/locations.aspx.
